I was pointing out to my mother the other day how there are a few places in the Bible where suffering and endurance are mentioned before having the victory and I think it’s important to pay attention to that purposeful piece of scripture, because God wants us to know that suffering and struggle are inevitable, but if you keep hoping for a better tomorrow and hope with joy in your heart, then you will be perfect, established, strengthened and settled.
Whenever I find myself upset or disappointed about something, I remember to ask myself one or two questions: Does this affect my relationship with God? Does this affect my chances of getting into the Kingdom? Most of the time (99.9%), I can answer ‘NO’ to both of those questions and suddenly my issue loses weight and energy. As long as I set my mind on things above, whatever is happening here on earth becomes much more manageable and easier to face. So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my
Many don’t know this but at some point and time in your life, you’re going to face struggles and challenges. You can’t escape it and there’s no way around it. You can pray and be nice to others and give back and do all kinds of nice and wonderful things for yourself and everybody else until you’re blue in the face and you will still have rainy days, like everybody else. Thankfully, we’ve been given strength and patience to endure it and it’s all about the attitude you have towards
There was a time when I would let myself get worried over things that were either out of my control or already taken care of. It wasn’t until I began to let myself trust that God was going to take care of my needs, that a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. It’s only when we begin to appreciate the small and simple things in life that we begin to see how much love and abundance we have around us. Open your eyes and learn to accept the daily joys
Nobody else is going to believe in you the way you do. Of course you will have friends and family who support you and even proclaim to believe in you, but you want to make it so that even when their faith begins to waiver, yours is still standing strong. Your beliefs, your attitude and what you feel and think about yourself should be the source from which you draw your motivation, not your condemnation. Believing in yourself is the one thing that will hold strong even if you see
When you’re going through a hard time and facing many challenges, sometimes the best thing you can do is, look forward. Instead of wallowing in the present moment and getting upset about your circumstances, look as far ahead as possible into the future until you can see the silver lining. Some of the tools you can use to help extend your vision is hope; when you hope for the best that’s usually what you get. Patience, probably should have been the first tool I mentioned because sometimes you need lots
